taking things for granted: big NO-NO!!
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006here’s the story la..
went to the orphanage da other day… it was for our islamic studies project. we went to this orphange called Bait al-Amin. the kids there are aged between 2/3 to 18/19 years old.
we went there and well, i was surprised at how open, cute, hyper, and actually, typical of them. they’re normal children, except they lack of most things we have, ie parents, a proper house, proper study room, proper mirrors, toilets, slippers, computers, etc… i mean, here i am typing away in my laptop, when they hardly ever touched one.. and to think i didn have enough!! gosh, i wass sooo tactless…
anyways, these children, they greeted us as if they knew us already(some of them la..) and they are such curious beings!!! asking where we’re from, model of our handphones, and if we have any riddles for them/1 honestly they just love riddles! there’s this 1 girl, 7 yrs old i think, has such smart answers!! and even had cute riddles for us!
wat else…. wel these kids are just inspirational. they made me all sebak di dada… they are strong people and dats y God gave them this "test" so dat they can teach ppl like me a lesson in life. i never wanna complain about how little i have… and how my family can suck sometimes… we r all lucky to have wat we have now. nevermind material stuff, but a support system. i m lucky to have a lovely family, a place to study, a bright future, a loving bf, and more…
moral of the story?
do not take things for granted… c those kids for urself. they’ll change u with their awesome power of innocence and strength..
